Do You Need Funding To Pursue Your Passion?

Surfing superstar Layne Beachley is urging all Australian women to apply for an Aim for the Stars grant to turn their passion into reality.

If you are an Aussie woman aged 12 and over who needs funding to achieve your community, cultural, academic or sporting dream than you can apply for a grant in 2012. The Aim for the Stars Foundation will give away at least $60,000 worth of grants next to those who best demonstrate their aspirations.

Seven-time World Champion surfer Beachley founded the Aim for the Stars Foundation in 2003 and has turned dreams into reality for more than 200 females Australia-wide in a diverse range of areas including opera, ballet, diving, literacy education, rally driving, BMX, equestrian and hockey.

“I love inspiring and motivating girls to dare to dream, pursue their passion and aspire to achieve," said Beachley. "My desire is to help Aussie girls to focus on achieving their goals and aim for the stars by alleviating those financial pressures which I experienced early in my surfing career."
