Johnny Depp And Vanessa Paradis Split

One of Hollywood's cutest couples, Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, have officially split after 14 years together.

The couple "have amicably separated," Depp's publicist said in a statement today. "Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children."

The couple have two children: Lily-Rose, 13, and Jack, nine.

Depp, 49, and Paradis, 39, met in Paris in 1998 when Depp saw the French actress, model and singer at a hotel and was immediately entranced by her. They have famously never married, with Paradis once saying: "I love the romance of 'let's get married,' but then, when you have it so perfect...I mean, I'm more married than anybody can be – we have two kids. Maybe one day, but it's something I can really do without."

Depp recently told a French magazine that living in France with Paradis and their kids "has given me everything. A marvelous family and also an equilibrium which I missed enormously."

Paradis also gushed to Marie Claire UK: "I could make an endless list of all the things I admire about him," she said. "We understand that, if we want our relationship to continue, we must give each other space, allow each other to go off on our own, and trust each other. Not everyone is lucky enough to be given space and trust."

So what went wrong? Rumours of the two growing apart after moving to LA, having lived in the south of France for so many years, started circulating in recent months. We wish both Johnny and Vanessa all the best.
