What are you grateful for?

Squeeze every bit of happiness out of 2010 that you can by ditching the complaining!

So take this moment to ask yourself... “Are you happy with your life & the way it is unfolding?”

Maybe we can’t always be happy or feel happy, though if we look inward the answers are always there for us.

Shifting your focus to the brighter side allows you to take your back your power & moves you away from blaming a person or an event. If you allow yourself to see the hidden blessings, it will lessen the pain of what you think you missed out on.

How to be grateful

When you start to be grateful for what you have the spin-off effect is that you start to feel happy & contented with what you have.

A research project on Gratitude & Thankfulness (Emmons & McCullough, 2003) showed those who kept gratitude journals on a weekly basis exercised more regularly, reported fewer physical symptoms, felt better about their lives as a whole, and were more optimistic about the upcoming week compared to those who recorded hassles or neutral life events.

To start the process, invest in a gratitude journal and write down at least 3-5 things that you already have, & what you would like to receive. Doing this in the morning is a brilliant way to start the day to energise & mentally prepare for what’s ahead. If you catch public transport you can use this time to write, or even in your lunch break. Or before you go to bed pay tribute from start to finish of what has occurred in your day. You will be eager to sleep, ready for another day to record love & blissful moments.

By actively choosing to acknowledge gratitude on a daily basis you can dissolve the lack feelings of “I don’t have enough” (eg. Enough time, love, peace, money etc.) By reaching for a better feeling, this allows you to stay in the now to receive with an open heart.

By having a yearly journal, you then have the opportunity to go back and see what you’ve been able to bring into your life.

As a great way to condition your mind go through the alphabet from A-Z and state what you are grateful for & why.

Have fun & in-joy the full benefits of appreciating & showing & sharing an Attitude of Gratitude to all that come your way.

With Love, Thanks & Blessings for taking time to connect with the most important person there is, You!

Lately, there have been some horrible things happening to people around me, so naturally because I care for them, it affects me deeply. However, it has also made me so greatful for the position I am in, and for the person I have and am becoming. I am not only a mother, but this is the thing I am most greatful for.

Great article! I recently had a pretty off day and decided to write down 6 things I was grateful for, it totally changed my state of mind when I realised those 6 things were pretty significant.

Just got to get into the habit of doing it daily, like anything that is good for you.

You never cease to amaze me.
It so true. If only we were more grateful for what DO have rather than worry and stress about what we DON'T have?? How much better would life be??

I make a promise to you , but importantly to myself, I will start a gratitute journal tonight!
Thankyou.
