The Great Sexy Knicker Debate

"Garconne" by Chantal Thomass. Available from Dirty Pretty Things.A online survey conducted on 1360 women on behalf of PASH Australia (www.pashparties.com.au) this month revealed a whopping 69 per cent of Australian women wish their love life was more exciting, 75 per cent own a vibrator; only 11 per cent are truly confident in their sex appeal and only handful of women regularly don sexy underwear.
The survey by PASH, the sensual products retailer and party plan company, polled women on how they rate their sex life; how confident they are in their own sexiness; if they dress to impress in the underwear department or just stay with good old cotton undies and how willing they are to try something a little different in the bedroom.
Aussie women are more saggy than sexy: The survey found that although 54 per cent of women claim to prefer sexy underwear, they don’t wear it regularly. An astounding 14 per cent NEVER wear sexy knickers (over 16 per cent in a relationship…) and 48 per cent only spice up their underwear on special occasions.
Boring in the Bedroom: Despite 69 per cent wanting more from their lovelife, 21.5 per cent of Australian women have never introduced games or accessories into the bedroom.
Lacking in Confidence: Almost one fifth of women (19 per cent) do not think they are sexy at all. Only 10 per cent of women truly believe they’re sexy and one quarter of women in a relationship fear their partner leaving them for someone sexier…

"Buttress &
Snatch". Available from Dirty Pretty Things.Jo Karabin, Director of PASH Australia said, “Australian women are universally regarded as being confident, sexy and “real”, and with gorgeous Aussie women like Layne Beachley, Naomi Watts, Megan Gale, Sarah Murdoch, Melissa George and newly revamped Delta Goodrem flying the flag for Australia, it’s not hard to see why…
“But, continued Karabin, our survey showed the state of Australian women’s underwear is dire and their overall lack of confidence in their own sex appeal and willingness to saucy it up with a naughty knickers and a few bedroom accessories is getting in the way of FUN...”
The PASH survey revealed 16 per cent of women in a relationship NEVER wear sexy lingerie, with 48 per cent only getting out the sexy knickers on very special occasions!
61 per cent of Aussie women under 35 and single said their love life was “boring as hell” or “nothing to write home about” and only 11 per cent are truly confident in their sexiness. Luckily for them, 69 per cent own a “girls best friend”.
The group most dissatisfied with their lovelife is the Bridget Joneses - single and over 35, although they’re the most confident about their sexiness, most likely to own a vibrator and are best acquainted with bedroom accessories!
Jo Karabin thinks this should be a call to arms for Australian women to take the bull by the horns: “Come on Aussie women. If your sex-life’s boring, do something about it! Believe in your sex appeal; get into that sexy underwear, get yourself a few fun accessories, make a date in the bedroom and let’s see if we can’t get your lovelife sizzling for the Summer!”
